Emergency Fire Escape
Emergency Fire Escape
The primary purpose of an emergency fire escape is to allow occupants of a building to evacuate quickly and safely in the event of a fire or other emergency, such as a natural disaster or structural collapse. Fire escapes are typically located on the exterior of buildings, although some larger buildings may have interior fire escape stairwells. Exterior fire escapes are often attached to the outside walls of buildings and provide a direct route from upper floors to ground level.
